Rehab Booking Guide - What's Included?
Initial Assessments
These sessions are booked with either our Qualified Rehab Vet or our Qualified Vet Nurse/ Animal Physio

The Initial Assessment (IA) runs for 60-90 minutes and includes:

physical assessment with our Rehab Vet or Qualified Vet Nurse & Animal Physio

vet assessment includes assessments of co-morbidities to assess their impact on physio requirements and therapy plans
-
-
pain therapy
-
a session in the Underwater Treadmill if appropriate
-
a written weight/nutrition management plan
-
a home exercise program
-
and a follow up treatment plan.

Ongoing sessions range in price depending on what therapy is required. It is determined at the IA what would be the best plan for your pet.
Ongoing Physio + Hydrotherapy Assessments
These sessions are booked with either our Qualified Rehab Vet or our Qualified Vet Nurse/ Animal Physio

All ongoing sessions include a weight management plan including nutritional advice, since body weight has such a large impact on the success of our rehab plans.
​
For patients with specialised dietary requirements, our highly qualified staff are still able to assist with personalised nutrition plans. However, for these more complex cases, additional fees for creation of the initial nutrition plan may apply.

Ongoing sessions include:

30-60 minute sessions

Weigh in as well as limb measurements

Pain therapies including Remedial Massage (if appropriate)

Underwater treadmill session (if appropriate)

Written/Updated Nutrition / weight management plan (as needed)

Mobility care - including updated therapeutic exercises and home exercise plan (as needed)

Remedial Massage Sessions
These sessions are booked with one of our Qualified Veterinary Nurses trained in Massage

An initial assessment is required prior to booking these sessions if any other treatment modalities are required.

Remedial massage (for pets only!)
​
Massage can assist in reducing pain and making your pet more comfortable by promoting circulation and improving blood flow to tight muscles and aching joints. It also relaxes your pet and can help to improve your pet’s general comfort levels as well as their mobility. Please ensure your pet is comfortable being handled by non-family members prior to booking.
